Are you thinking about eloping in Utah but you can’t put your finger on a location? Utah has all sorts of wonders, Let me start by sharing that an Antelope Island elopement is a great location to consider.
Antelope Island is about 1 hour away from Salt Lake City, making Syracuse, UT the nearest city. There is an entrance fee of $15 per vehicle, if you have an annual state park pass you can get in free!
In case you were wondering if you can drive around Antelope Island the answer is no as it does not fully circle the island, you are able to drive on the west & east coast of the island.
PERMITS
First, you will need to submit an application ($10) and a special use permit ($50), fee’s are subject to change. Find out more at frequently asked questions; additionally, the wedding application. Fees and locations vary depending on the amount of guest you will have.
MARRIAGE LICENSE
In order to legalize your marriage in Antelope Island:
First, you will need to apply for a marriage license. Furthermore, you do not have to reside in the state of Utah to obtain a marriage license. However, you do need to have a valid government ID and or driver license. Normally, you would go down to the County Clerk’s Office to request a marriage license; however, you are now able to request a marriage license application online. Please be sure to use a valid email address and each applicant must have their own email address. Eventually, you will have to present yourself at the Clerk’s Office to verify your identity and to pay for your marriage license fees($40)
You will need to provide the following:
Name
Address
Social Security Number
Date & place of birth
Names of parents and their places of birth
A valid government issued ID, driver license, and or passport
Affidavit
You will also need an officiant and two witnesses to sign your license marriage.

Are you wanting to bring your fur babies along for your Antelope Island Elopement but not sure if they’re allowed? Let me ease your mind by saying yes and at no additional cost, dogs want to get their adventure on too!
A few things to consider before bringing your dog:
Under no circumstances is your dog to be unattended, the park has a large population of bison who roam free in the area so please be cautious at all times.
Other wildlife include: Pronghorn Antelope, deer, bighorn sheep, and a large variety of birds
Your dog must be on a leash no longer than six feet long
And please be sure to do your part and follow the Leave No Trace Principles
You can help with cleaning up after yourself and your pets
Pack it in, pack it out
That way people after us can enjoy the same beauty we got to witness
Witness an epic starry night at White Rock Bay, you might luck out with a view of the Milky Way
